Is adding an analog line expensive?
It can be. You'll need to bypass
your digital phone system by adding special analog cards to the
PBX's central unit. Parts and labor can put a significant dent
in your company's budget. In some cases, it could cost as much
as $200 for one analog phone jack. What's more, you may not be
able to add a single analog line. With many systems, you're required
to set up 8 lines at a time (that's $1,600!). Using an analog-to-digital
line adapter, you avoid the expense.
